What is MyListWatcher and how does it work?

MyListWatcher is a free tool to help you manage and watch all of your Amazon wish lists. We will monitor the prices of everything you are watching and will alert you when the price goes below your target price. You control the target prices as well as how often (if ever) you get an email alert. You can elect to get these alerts via RSS feed as well. Will MyListWatcher always be free?

We intend to keep MyListWatcher free forever. We believe that the ads within the MyListWatcher product as well as future advertiser-supported features will continue to be beneficial to MyListWatcher users and will also pay the rent.

Is there a limit to the number of lists I can watch?

There are no limits to the number of lists you can watch. We hope you will watch all of the lists created by your freinds and family, as well as your own!

Is there a limit to the number of items on a list?

Right now Amazon limits us to 300 items per list. If you have more we suggest breaking your list up into multiple lists perhaps by genre or format.

I don’t want to get any spam. Do you share users’ email addresses with anyone else?

We do not share your email address, nor the email address of any friends or family whose lists your are watching. We do send email alerts, however you can opt out of these from your My Profile page.

How do I start watching a list?

Once you are signed in, go to your My Profile page and click on the Add A List button. Simply enter the email address of the person who created the Amazon wish list and press Submit. You will be presented with all of the public lists created by that person. Select which lists you want to watch and press submit. That's it, you can now customize the lists from the My Profile page.

I have entered my friend's email address but I am not seeing any lists, why?

Either your friend has not created an Amazon wish list or they have not made it public. They will have to log in to their Amazon wish list and make it public in order for us to see it.

My friend's wish list is public, but I am still not seeing it, why?

Make sure you are entering the same email address that they used to create the list.

How do I delete a list I no longer want to watch?

From your My Profile page click the Manage button next to the list you no longer want to watch. Then click on the Delete List button near the top of the list. This will only delete the list from MyListWatcher, not from Amazon.

How often will I get email alerts?

You can set how often you may get alerts on a per list basis. You can select from Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Never. Simply make your choice in the Email Settings section on the List page and press the Save Settings button.

Can I turn on/off email alerts?

You can turn on/off all emails from your My Profile page. Under the Send Me Emails Alerts option in the preferences section, set the appropriate value and click on the Save Preferences button.

Can I get plain text email alerts instead of HTML?

You can change how your email alerts look by choosing the appropriate setting under the E-mail Type options on your My Profile page. Don't forget to click on the Save Preferences button to record your changes.

What is the New and Used Target Prices and how do I change them?

The New and Used Target Prices are the prices below which you would like to be alerted for new and used versions of that item. To change a target price, enter the new value next to the appropriate item and press the Submit button next to it.

Can I change my email address?

Go to your My Profile page and change the email address in the Preferences section, the click on the Save Preferences button. Your log in address will be the new address entered and all future messages from MyListWatcher will go to this address.

Can I change my password?

From your My Profile page click the Change Password button in the Tools section. Enter your current password and your new password (twice) then click on the Submit button.

What if I have forgotten my password?

From the Sign In page, enter your email address then click on the "Forgot Your Password?" link. Your password will be sent to you shortly.

How do I invite a friend?

From your My Profile page click the Invite A Friend button in the Tools section. Then enter your friends email address and feel free to customize the email template provided.
